First off – to reduce spam I’ve required registration on this site for anyone that wishes to leave comments. (Click “Register” to the left.) Now on to the good stuff -
The jalabelle.com domain has been mine for nearly 8 years now. I bought it and created a website to share my writing with friends and family. Many of my friends visited the site and it was quickly transformed into a place of interaction among us. It housed a set of forums that were very active for quite some time. But…like all good things….
Years later the sites traffic had dwindled down to nothing, but I had invested so much time and effort into the site that I just couldn’t let the domain name go. I kept paying it year after year and used it as my primary email address since it’s creation. The site itself would lie dormant during this time with a brief message linking visitors to my Facebook page.
Although I wasn’t working at anything within jalabelle.com, I hadn’t given up on websites completely. I built two other sites (you can check them out in the slides above) and maintained the both of them. The rmtrclub.com site I built for my local ATV club and the dentsidepics.com I built for an online community I’m part of. I also had one other site on the side that was part of a story I was writing. That … died …
Just recently I decided it was time to revive jalabelle.com and put something here. It simply drove me up the wall to see my first domain with no content at all, while two others were live sites. A desire to have a live jalabelle.com spawned the pages you’re looking at now.
In the slides above I’ve offered links to pretty much everything I do on the web. My websites, my Facebook, my writing and my blog. Writing is slow right now, and my blog is actually non-existent, but things may change in the near future. Who knows.
At least jalabelle.com isn’t dead anymore….
